Requesting an estimate
- How do I get an estimate?
- Fill out the estimate form (addresses, access, preferred date, main items) or call the team. The more precise your description, the more precise the estimate can be.
- Is an estimate a guaranteed price?
- No. An estimate is based on the information you provide. The final price depends on things like actual time, access and volume. The confirmed contract sets out the terms.
- Is my preferred date reserved when I submit the form?
- No. Submitting the form creates a request that the team reviews. Your move is only booked once Easy Move confirms it.
- What happens after I submit?
- Your request is recorded and appears in the team's queue. They will get back to you by phone or by email, depending on your preference. No response time is promised until the company has confirmed one.
Pricing
- How much does a move cost?
- The cost depends mainly on working time, the number of movers, access (stairs, elevator, parking), distance, and heavy or fragile items. Hourly rates are published on the Rates page (before taxes); ask for an estimate for your route.
- How is time calculated?
- 2-hour minimum, plus 1 hour of travel time (from Châteauguay to your place, then the return trip). After the minimum, time is billed in 15-minute increments.

- Do you do both residential and commercial moves?
- Yes, Easy Move offers residential and commercial moving services. Describe your project in the form so it can be assessed.
- Can you pack my belongings?
- Yes. Easy Move offers packing and unpacking, as well as boxes and packing materials. Mention what you need in the form.
- Do you offer storage?
- Yes, in LaSalle and Châteauguay, reserved for Easy Move moving customers. The price is discussed based on volume and duration. Mention your need in your request.
- Do you take apart and reassemble furniture?
- Yes. Furniture disassembly and reassembly are included in the price.
- Are your moves insured?
- Yes. Easy Move carries $75,000 in cargo insurance.

- Which cities do you serve? Do you do long-distance moves?
- Easy Move moves customers anywhere in Québec starting from Châteauguay, and also does long-distance moves to the other Canadian provinces and abroad. Tell us your departure and arrival cities: the team will confirm the date and the travel time.
Getting ready for moving day
- How far ahead should I ask for an estimate?
- As early as possible if you're moving in late June or around July 1, the busiest times in Québec. The date is only held once Easy Move has confirmed the move.
- Should I book the elevator and a spot for the truck?
- Yes, at both addresses: book the elevator with building management and plan a spot for the truck close to the door. Some municipalities require a permit to use the street: check with yours.
- What should I get ready before the team arrives?
- Close and label boxes by room, clear the hallways and keep a “first night” box apart, along with your documents, medication and valuables. The moving checklist covers each week.
- How do I flag a heavy or fragile item?
- Mention it in the details of the estimate request (piano, safe, appliances, artwork): the team takes it into account for the time and the number of movers, and confirms what is possible.
- What if I move in winter?
